The Centre was opened in June 1998 and closed in 2009 pending relocation to a new site.
The Centre location at Severn Beach still provides car parking for those taking the spectacular walk along the estuary. It is a very short distance from the public footpath and cycle route along the Binn Wall, which affords excellent views of the bridges.
